Our Story
Thanks for visiting our page and stopping by to learn more about our family! We are Kyle and Stephanie Jefferson of HJ Show Stock, where we are focused on producing elite show wethers. We started this venture in 2009 with a very small group of does and quickly decided to narrow our focus to breeding project goats. Through strategic genetic investments and expansion in our facilities, we have proudly established ourselves as one of the premier wether breeders in California. Nestled in the heart of California’s central valley, we are nicely located to serve customers throughout the state and offer convenient freeway drop-off options for out of state transportation.
Our Herd
Over time, we have been privileged to work with a great group of elite breeders and are proud to have foundation genetics from Schafer Club Goats, Glen Martin and Family, Blue Team Show Wethers, Henkhaus Livestock, Pfieffer Farms, and White Rail Ranch. These genetics have built the base of our doe herd, which is predominately comprised of multi-generation HJ bred does. Currently, we run approximately 125 mature does on irrigated pasture. We work hard to offer competitive wethers for shows throughout the year, typically kidding from September through April. Our best wethers are offered through online and live sales, with the remainder offered private treaty at the ranch. As importantly, we are also proud of our high quality doe kids available for show and breeding prospects, in addition to select bucks. As an added bonus, select doe kids are also available with registration papers.

Whether it’s our family or yours, family is always our priority. Kade, Hazel & Cooper have further instilled these values and are a constant reminder of what is important in our lives. We strive to build long-lasting relationships that expand our ever-growing “goat family”!
Future Leaders
We’ve always maintained a clear focus on working with youth and helping to develop our future agricultural leaders. Beyond our involvement with customers, we also stay actively engaged with 4-H/FFA including FFA Field Days, livestock judging practices, and other leadership activities. These activities were paramount to influencing us as young adults and we aspire to do the same for the next generation.
Focus
As we have expanded our business and family, Kyle now manages our livestock operation full time and is available for ranch appointments and progress updates. We have made this commitment to better service our customers and focus entirely on our show goat operation. Let’s set a goal and reach it together!
